Summary

The Warehouse Lead reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc. Warehouse Supervisor. This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow, provide focus on inventory control and customer service. Additionally, – including but not limited to:

  • Must be able to communicate and interact with Company Management Team and Customers in a productive and professional manner
  • Assist supervisor in leading daily operations team resulting in successful results that are reflected in established key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by established target inventory discrepancy ratio
  • Read and comprehend SOP’s, work instructions, email and documents; measure and count accurately; write legibly
  • Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards

Essential Functions

OPERATIONS

  • Meet established procedures and productivity, safety, and quality standards
  • Meet attendance & punctuality standards
  • Compile, verify, record and process forms and documents
  • Quality assurance inspection of returned parts (Inbound Lead)
  • Can accurately receive and ship material through the WMS (Inbound /Outbound Lead)
  • Can perform system analysis on orders and inventory to eliminate missing shipments
  • Ability to set priorities and be able to multi-task with conflicting priorities
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Must be able to take direction and adhere to procedures, company policies with the ability to articulate recommendations and ask questions when uncertain
  • Monitor inbound, outbound and / or inventory control operation progress and directs activities to complete daily task
  • Assist in physical inventory counts and maintains accuracy by establishing target inventory discrepancy ratio (Inbound Lead)
  • Coordinate customer returns, value added service (VAS) of products as needed or requested by customer. (Inbound Lead)
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the operation and functions and have the ability to assist in compiling, verifying, recording and processing forms and documents
  • Ability to multitask administrative and operational duties while staying organized and efficient to effectively support managers, supervisors and team members
  • Exhibit professional and sound judgment when confronted with difficult and/or sensitive matters and know when to escalate situations to a supervisor or manager
  • in put-away process and scanner transferring from one location to another as instructed by supervisor or operations manager (Inventory  Control Lead)

TRAINING

  • Train others (including forklift drivers – if applicable) in departmental SOP’s and daily operations to LUS standards. 
  • Must be proficient in the use of scanners and be able to train employees on proper use of them.
  • Managing employee interaction that includes: employee development, one on one coaching, conflict resolution among associates, associates group meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in application of LUS policies and procedures including but not limited Attendance and Punctuality policy, progressive corrective action, and other.

COLLABORATION

  • Must create a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity
  • Must promptly be at designated work site or location as required by supervisor or manager
  • Must be flexible in facilitating other duties on a daily basis as assigned by the supervisor or manager
  • Should be available on a rotating basis for holiday, night and weekend shifts to meet required customer/business needs.

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Previous Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year fast-paced Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics industry or Manufacturing environment experience
  • 1 year lead or supervisor experience
  • Work experience in lieu of previous supervisor experience considered

 Education and Certifications 

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel – preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered

Experience Requirements and Preferences 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is a plus

  • Must pass drug and criminal background check

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret pick/selection/put-away orders

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
