What is a CFS Warehouse and How Can it Benefit You?
A CBP bonded container freight station (CFS) is a facility where ocean or air freight can be transferred directly from the destination port or airport while still under customs bond. Depending on your requirements, cargo can immediately be broken down from an air freight ULD or unloaded from an ocean container. This saves valuable time for urgent shipments – a tremendous benefit for you, the importer. According to CBP guidelines, goods can be manipulated in several ways while on site, including sorting or breaking down for further distribution.
